Meet Rosie & Rainn
Rosie and Rainn are normal 12-year-old twins. Except they’re magical. Which is no biggie because everyone in their town is magical. The houses, built by magical carpenters, float, change shapes, or have walls made out of flowers. Even the twin’s favorite store sells crazy cool goodies, like books you jump into to become a character in the story and animal cookies that turn you into the animal shape you eat. In Rosie and Rainn’s universe, you never know what will happen next.
Polar opposites, Rainn loves to read and study; Rosie is all about chaos and fun, jumping feet first into any adventure...and usually dragging Rainn along with her.
Each book in the series features a new, magic-induced problem, disaster, or mystery that always goes sideways. But for Rosie and Rainn, it's their differences that make the magical misadventures and chaos so much more fun... it's also what gets them through it all in the end!
The Rosie & Rainn chapter books, created for readers 7-10 years old, are filled with friendship, family, adventures, and disasters - all thanks to two perfectly imperfect magical twins.

"I really like your story because it's kind of like a cross between Harry Potter and The Babysitters Club - some of my favorite books."
"After finishing the book, the kids were so excited to make their own magic that they turned sticks from the yard into wands and went around the yard saying 'Follow my line, surround with slime!' and 'Make it sweet.'"

"Teachers you need this book! The Zoo Zoo Cookies by Sydnie Suskind is a clever story. The characters are relatable and fun. Use this book to teach characterization, literary devices, figurative language and much more."

about sydnie
Writing can be as smooth as warm buttah on a toasted everything bagel (perfection!). Other times it's soooo hard! Like, bang-my-head-against-the-keyboard-until-I-have-to-buy-a-new-laptop, hard. But all I know is, I gotta write.
For me, writing isn't about being perfect. It's about bringing the characters and world to life in a way that makes the reader feel like they're inside the story (or at least wish that they were).
Books and storytelling have always been a massive part of my life. I was that kid who wrote a mini (2 page) sequel to Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator. At night I hide under the blankets with a flashlight and book, unwilling to let my heavy eyelids close until I read just one more chapter! Some of my greatest childhood memories are cuddling in a tiny twin bed with my three siblings as our mom brought to life the latest storybook adventure. When I became a mom, the cuddling-in-bed-storytime routine with our two kids was often the best part of my day.
Although I've been writing professionally (from a television sitcom, to magazines, to a (not so kid friendly 😉) web series) for over 15 years, Rosie & Rainn: The ZooZoo Cookie is my first children's book.
Professional Sydnie has written for a CBS sitcom, Nickelodeon animated series, sold a television pilot to Viacom and Comedy Central, been hired to create a series for Dan Lin (Lego Movie) and Media Rights Capital, and developed television series for major studios including Legendary Television and Lionsgate. As an executive, she was VP of Development at a Warner Bros Television deal, a creative executive for a Disney feature deal, and most recently was VP, Brand and Creative Strategy at a global education technology company. Oh, and that (not so kid friendly 😉) web series is How To Beat Your Sister-in-Law (at everything).
